Kenosia Avenue Office Building

This new office building on Kenosia Avenue in Danbury, CT houses 40,000 sq. ft. of commercial space. The office space is located around a central courtyard. The two-story structure is comprised of composite concrete and steel floor framing with steel columns. Due to the site's proximity to Lake Kenosia, the soil upon which the structure rests is unsuitable for traditional spread footings. To minimize settlement issues, the superstructure and reinforced concrete floor slabs were designed to bear on a system of grade beams supported on deep pile foundations.

Ryan Preston was the project engineer for the office building while with the DiSalvo Ericson Group.
